Detox for fat loss.

In our June Newsletter we reprinted an article entitled “Can I Jump Start Fat Loss with a Detox or Cleanse?”.  Well, I know many of you might have other opinions about Detox diets and Cleanses, but I have only one belief at this time and that is that the best way to detoxify your body is by eating healthy longterm.  This is the best detox solution available to man.  Now, Kristine [my wife and co-owner of the business] has a slightly different opinion than me and I am sure she will share that with you, however, I believe the body is designed to do what it needs to do as long as it is given the right fuel and energy sources.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

  1. Well, my husband is right. I do have a different opinion, but I also agree with his logic. I mean, if you eat healthy with a large amount of “live” foods [fruits and vegetables] in your diet than you can naturally detoxify your system. However, I’m all for doing a detox or cleanse mainly consisting of juiced vegetables and some fruits and a gigantic amount of water to get rid of some of the junk. The truth of the matter is, not many of us eat the way we should to create a natural detox process. Abstaining from cooked food for a period of time to kind of get things started is not a bad idea. But, one should embark on a detox for cleansing purposes, NOT to lose fat. The key to fat loss is still the tried and true — eating a balanced diet and exercising. And that’s MY story and I’m sticking to it.
